It may not be a formula 1 car,

But it has a distinctive look, and will work just fine.

1954 Dodge Red Ram Hemi 241 CID.  Rebuilt from end to end by Roddy Martino.

The lumpy Cam and aluminum flywheel will have a nice sound.

There are lots of handmade parts to hold things in place.

The transmission is an NWC T-5, with a stock bell, adapted with a Hot Heads adapter.

The gears were matched to the rear-end gear and tire size.

The red one is a T-5 but was not a V8 unit.

The transmission tunnel turned out much better than I had expected. Who knew that the epoxy would turn the glue black and the marine plywood honey colored?

I had to wrestle with it at first. The concept of the car is so important that if it clashed, it would be better to cover it up or paint it. Fortunately, I could find no reason not to use it raw.

The Rear End

Taken from a late-model Jeep Grand Cherokee, the disc brakes are nice. This one is located with a scotch yoke, or sliding block, instead of a panhard bar.
