Sheep and goats in the Bible are significant symbols, and there is no coincidence that they can look similar.
Either could be used as a sacrifice in the Old Testament sacrificial system, until Jesus became our ultimate sacrifice.
God said that He would separate the Sheep from the goats in the judgment, putting the sheep on His right, showing favor, and the Goats on His left, showing condemnation.
It is a little hard for us to tell who the sheep are, and who will be condemned, and fortunately, that is above my pay grade! And even more fortunately, there is a Savior!!!
